The galleries of the Igreja da Graça are a privileged space for cultural initiatives.
The walls are currently coming to life with the photography exhibition ‘Só Neste Porto Só’, by photographer and doctor Clara Ramalhão.
There are around 30 images that belong to a collection that the author created in the first two months of the pandemic, between March and April 2020, when she decided to go out onto the streets of Porto, driven by an "impulse" to record that "historic moment, a milestone in the evolution of human civilisation" that the country and the world were experiencing.
"I feel honoured to be represented in such a noble space as the Igreja da Graça, but above all happy to have the doors open to reinforce my main intention in this project: to spread a profoundly humanist message, where the meaning of life and the value of our existence must be highlighted in its essence", says Clara Ramalhão.
For curator Santiago Belacqua, in "Só Neste Porto Só", Clara Ramalhão expresses the unimaginable: "The ghost town that never was".
The exhibition will run until 15th of December.
