The roof of the Church of Graça is in an advanced state of disrepair. Problems with the roof have caused leaks that jeopardise the structure of the building and directly threaten important works of art, such as the ceiling of the nave painted by João Vaz and Elói Ferreira do Amaral and the 18th-century sculptures. The restoration of the roof is an urgent and priority intervention, essential to ensure the safety of the space and the preservation of the heritage.

One of the most affected areas is the Sacristy, which features a remarkable 18th-century painted ceiling attributed to the school of Pedro Alexandrino, depicting the Assumption of the Virgin. This work of great artistic value is threatened by leaks from the roof, making rapid intervention essential for its protection.

The Church of Graça also houses an important musical heritage: the pipe organ, built by Augusto Joaquim Claro around 1905. This historic instrument, which has been inoperable since the late 1960s, represents an independent restoration project that requires significant investment but will restore a fundamental element of the church's cultural and musical identity.
