Exhibition "Pietà" by Santiago Belacqua

The Church of Graça will host the exhibition "Pietà" by Santiago Belacqua from February 1st to March 30th.
Santiago Belacqua, artist and curator of the exhibition, offers an immersive exploration of one of the most powerful representations in Sacred Art: the renowned image of the Virgin Mary holding the dead Jesus in her arms. But that's not all. The artist also brings to the Church of Graça a series of paintings depicting other biblical figures and episodes, such as the Last Supper and the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
In addition to the solo exhibition displayed in the gallery of the Church of Graça, Santiago Belacqua presents a small collection of sacred art by other artists, which can be admired on the staircase.
